Out of the 2,341 products introduced in 2011, 1,664 total or roughly 71% of them were semiconductors. New product introductions peak with a total of 284 products in September and drastically drop to only 80 parts in December. The semiconductor trend runs parallel with the overall product trend also driving September peaks and December lows. The leading manufacturers in the power management category were Linear Technology, National Semiconductors, and Texas Instruments. The linear category was Analog Devices, NXP, and Texas Instruments. Finally, the descrete category was lead by International Rectifier, NXP, and Parulit International, and Vishay.
