When looking for online components, many free component data sites only provide datasheets for the part, while others extract the components’ packaging information in an easy to read format. Some free sites may even go beyond the datasheet and direct you to distributor webpages to see just the quantity availability of the part and the price from that one distributor. It would be difficult to find the necessary regulation compliance data, multi-sourcing data, forecasting data and the parametric data in the free solutions today. With the limited datasheet information and redirects to distributor sites, from a free data site, there is a higher risk of out-of-date, incorrect, incomplete, and misleading part information if you are looking for online components using a free data site.
