Supply chains are the backbone for the global economy. Life as we know it depends on global supply chains being able to effectively source and collaborate across trading partners and business-to-business networks.

Enterprise face new threats to their supply chain every day. Legacy supply chain management techniques haven’t kept up. Modern supply chain management teams must be equipped to quickly and efficiently adjust operations to manage through disruptions and even get ahead of them to minimize the impact of events before they occur. With access to real-time, trusted data and a strong ecosystem of partners, companies at the forefront of innovation are leveraging disruptions to improve business outcomes.

By joining us at this year’s event, you’ll be able to hear the dialogue, understand the metaverse, learn the modern-day strategies and tools for building resilience within your supply chain.

Enda Ruddy

Managing Director, Global Computing, Data & Market | Converge

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, and now living in Amsterdam. Enda has expertise in electronic components procurement & distribution, obsolescence management, surplus & excess inventory, Q360 quality management, high reliability, shortages & end-of-life components (EOL), Computing - sourcing & inventory management, quality management, supply chain optimization. Currently Global Director for Converge and is responsible for the EMEA region and our obsolescence business globally.

My personal connection to work is very strong. I can compare it to my soccer team: it feels like a community. That’s something I really appreciate. When you talk about sales, it’s now consultative. Purchasing is more about risk management; finance is figuring out how to work with customers that receive the goods only when a lengthy testing process is finished; and marketing is also doing excellent work with the FOM brand and events. So, obsolescence is an important piece of the Converge jigsaw. We’re all involved in it, but all the other areas such as CPU sales, tech products, cost savings, etc. are just as essential.

Converge is a portfolio distributor serving many types of customers in different ways. Obsolescence is just one part of that offering. What’s interesting is that it touches every department, especially quality and operations – those teams do an amazing job, including getting quality certifications and handling complex component inspections.
