Coronavirus outbreak and related quarantines continue to impact business and technology supply chains. Moreover, multiple technology conferences worldwide have been canceled, postponed or impacted by withdrawing the top international electronics companies. Below are some global conferences which have recorded some withdraws from manufacturers or cancels/postpones from the organizers.

3. INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR:

This event is planned to help in cologne and is considered the number one industry event worldwide Decision-makers from all over the world make use of the number one event of the hardware industry to discover the new products, innovations, and trends of the industry. With 2,770 exhibitors from 58 countries, EISENWARENMESSE – International Hardware Fair Cologne is the largest and most international exhibition worldwide. The offer ranges from tools to fasteners, fixings, and fittings, through to industrial and home improvement supplies. 1. MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS ‘MWC’:

MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS ‘MWC’ is an annual trade show organized by GSMA dedicated primarily to the mobile communications industry. Its annual attendance is generally around 100,000 people, while mobile phone manufacturers often use the conference to unveil upcoming devices. The event was planned to be held in Barcelona, but due to Coronavirus outbreak and the series of following withdrawing from top manufacturers, GSMA cancels MWC 2020 following exhibitor exodus over Coronavirus.

2. RETAILTECH JAPAN 2020: 

RetailTech Japan is Japan’s largest and most influential trade show specializing in the retail information system. There is a vast collection of cutting-edge retail information technology ranging from store systems (e.g., Point-of-Sale registers) to head-office systems, in-store promotion devices, RFID / IC tags, backyard system, and logistics. The Nikkei Inc. (the Organizer of the event) hereby announces the cancellation of all exhibitions, seminars, and symposiums related to “NIKKEI MESSE,” which was scheduled to be held from 3rd to 6th of March 2020 at Tokyo Big Sight and Makuhari Messe.

3. SMART FACTORY AND AUTOMATION 2020 KOREA:

Automation 2020 Korea was planned to be held on 4 – 6 March 2020, but Unfortunately this tradeshow has been canceled due to the Coronavirus threat!

4. ELECTRONICA SHANGHAI CONFERENCE: 

The fair takes place in conjunction with Productronica China and presents the entire value chain of the electronics industry. Being also co-located with LASER World of PHOTONICS China and SEMICON China creates attractive synergies and added value for visitors. The four fairs provide insights into the latest technologies and applications in all electronics sectors as well as the photonics industry. The fair 2020 will be canceled due to the Coronavirus outbreak or postponed to a later date.

Conferences Have been Postponed

1. LIGHT + BUILDING 2020:

Light + Building 2020 conference is one of the world’s leading trade fair for lighting and building technology which is held on Messe Frankfurt. This conference will be postponed from March 8th to 13th to September 2020 between the mid and end of September due to the increased spread of the Coronavirus in Europe.

2. LASER WORLD OF PHOTONICS: 

LASER World of PHOTONICS is the International Trade Fair for Photonics Components, Systems and Applications. The Exhibition “Laser World of Photonics” will be postponed because of Corona Virus from March 18, 2020, to June, ‘21-24’, 2020.

3. VISION CHINA 2020 IN SHANGHAI: 

Vision China is held in Shanghai showing the companies’ news of China and internationals related to sectors Machinery, Equipment, Equipment, and technologies. Vision China 2020  in Shanghai is postponed from March 18, 2020, to an undefined date due to Coronavirus outbreak.
