Oeko Final RoHS Exemptions Report (Pack 24)

March 23, 2022 – The Oeko-Institut has recently published a final report studying the renewal requests of eight (8) exemptions: 5(b), 18(b), 18(b)-I, 24, 29, 32 and 34 of Annex III and 34 of Annex IV of Directive 2011/65/EU (Pack 24). These studies and recommendations will be presented to the European Union Commission as they consider a final decision.
This ROHS directive has been implemented to prevent the risks posed to human health and the environment as a result of electronic and electrical waste. This directive (2011/65/EU) requires all electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) to be free of any substances included within Annex II. Electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) containing materials within Annex III & IV are exempt from this ruling.
